On the foot-steps of Caravaggio

An itinerary on the footsteps of one of the most famous Italian artist in the world: we are talking about Michelangelo Merisi from Caravaggio. Starting from Milan we’ll discover masterpieces in art galleries and we’ll understand the importance of Caravaggio’s representation of light with a dinner by candlelight and with a drawing or a photography workshop. We’ll visit the Art Gallery of the beautiful city of Cremona, in Lombardy region, and then we’ll move to Bologna, to understand the great influence of Caravaggio’s study of lights and shadows. In Florence and in Rome we will admire other masterpieces by Caravaggio, in different city’s places, and to learn about the birth of Baroque. We’ll conclude the itinerary on the seaside of Tuscany, where the painter died, to think about his huge and varied artistic production during his intense short life.

She is an art Historian. She hold a Degree in Modern Literature from Bologna University, with a dissertation on the Grand Tour of landscape painters at the end of the Seventeen centyry. She has a speciaization diplona in history of art and a PHD frokm the Siena univeristy where she focalised on Maniera tosco-romana. She explored the relation between authors and artists in the fifteen century and the redescovery of Leonardo da Vinci from european artists.

She worked for the Estetich Institute, she also acts and directs plays for theater. She coordinated the cultural activities of FMR, and was editor of Arte Amica and FMRSymposium
