Art and love in the castle

Join us in discovering the scenic landscape full of castles in Parma province: these examples of military garrisons of the X and XI century, then turned into Renaissance courts, are icon of the 16th and Mannerist painting. From the plain up to the hills, castellans forts witness the rise of famous feudal families: from Pallavicino of Busseto, to the illuminated dynasty Sanvitale, with the Rocca of Fontanellato frescoed by Parmigianino. From House Rossi di San Secondo, with the castles of Torrechiara and Roccabianca desired by Pier Maria Rossi for his beloved Bianca Pellegrini, to the Meli Lupi of Soragna, with their Rocca, a sumptuous residence, perfectly preserved in the decor and furnishings of the throne room. In this setting art and love stories will enchant the visitor in a land of taste.
